She has many years of experience in scholarly publishing and research analytics, advising universities, governments, and research organizations on research security, integrity, and the evolving global research landscape.

Originally trained as an immunologist, Nicoline combines scientific expertise with practical experience in research assessment, open-source intelligence, and the analysis of global research and innovation ecosystems. She is an accredited Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst and regularly speaks on research security, research integrity, and the challenges of safeguarding international scientific collaboration. She holds MSc degrees in Immunology, Molecular Biology, and Business Administration.
