Dr Mikel C Duke is Professor of Membrane Science and Leader of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Research group at the Institute for Sustainable Industries and Liveable Cities at Victoria University, Australia. He has 25 years of experience in membrane research with applications focused on water reuse, desalination and hydrogen purification. His current focus is resource recovery from municipal wastewater as well as in foods, minerals and chemical industries. He is an Editor of the journal Desalination (IF = 9.8), the former President of the World Association of Membrane Societies and the founding President of the Membrane Society of Australasia.
