Manuel Salmeron-Sanchez

Manuel is ICREA Research Professor at IBEC (Barcelona) and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Glasgow . He did a PhD in Valencia and postdoctoral training in Prague and KU Leuven. He was visiting professor in Georgia Tech and Kyushu University. Manuel was Professor of Applied Physics in Valencia before relocating to Glasgow in 2013. He develops advanced biomaterials for cell engineering and mechanobiology. His research includes engineering materials that trigger the organisation of extracellular matrix proteins ; and materials that underpins in vitro models and mechanobiology. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Scotland’s national academy for arts and science. Manuel is Editor in Chief of Biomaterials Advances.
