Jianzhen Zhang

Dr. Jianzhen Zhang is the Director and a Professor in the Institute of Applied Biology at Shanxi University, Taiyuan, China. Her research focuses on the developmental biology of insect cuticles, the mechanisms of RNA interference, and the development of RNAi-based pesticides. She has published over 160 peer-reviewed journal articles, contributed 5 book chapters, and holds 15 authorized invention patents. She has been recognized as a Taishan Industry Leader in Shandong Province and an Innovative Leader in the "Sanjin Talents" Program of Shanxi Province. She also serves on the editorial boards of three SCI journals: Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Journal of Insect Physiology.
