Prof. Jianghao Wang
Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, CAS, China
Dr. Jianghao Wang is a Professor at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He also serves as a Professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and a Visiting Scientist at the MIT Sustainable Urbanization Lab. His research lies at the intersection of geospatial big data, spatial statistics, and geographic artificial intelligence. He specializes in developing principled statistical and AI methodologies to model complex human-environment interactions, multiscale spatial dynamics, and societal vulnerabilities under environmental extremes. His work has been widely published in leading journals, including Nature Human Behaviour, Nature Cities, Science Advances, and One Earth. Through advancing spatial data science and statistical modeling, he aims to integrate statistical rigor with modern geospatial AI to advance Earth and human system modeling.
