Dan Shao

Dr. Dan Shao received his PhD. from Jilin University, and completed his postdoctoral training with Prof. Kam W. Leong in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University. He is now a Professor of the Advanced Oral Biomaterials Innovation Center of West China Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University, His research focuses on engineering biomaterials for inflammation control, aiming to identify disease-associated cell-free biomolecules and rationally design therapeutic biomaterials that specifically targeting those danger signals, especially for precise management of severe inflammatory disease, such as sepsis, trauma, and multiple organ failure.
