Wayne Acquah

Wayne joined Elsevier in April 2023 from PayPal.

Wayne has responsibility for all HR and people-related activities across Elsevier globally and is a member of the RELX Global HR Leadership Team. He leads a highly professional team of HR Business Partners who support our global segments and functions, as well as provide in-country expertise for our people managers.

As EVP, Wayne is driving our strategic agenda to help accelerate the delivery of our business ambition from the inside, out. His work is focused on ensuring we have the right talent and culture for the future. This is while continually developing our HR model to deliver the right business outcomes and create competitive advantage through our people.

Wayne brings a wealth of global HR experience with him. His most recent role with PayPal was supporting Global Sales, having previously been based in Singapore leading HR for Asia Pacific and before that in Luxembourg leading HR for EMEA. Prior to PayPal, Wayne worked for The Coca-Cola Company, working across Europe, North America and Africa, and Rolls-Royce and AT&T.

Wayne has a track record of working across cultures while building talent and performance driven organizations through their people. He holds a BA Hons Degree in International Business from Nottingham University, a Masters’ Degree in Human Resources Management from West London University, and an MBA from Liverpool University.

Wayne will be based in our London office.
