Prof. Yongtao Guan

Professor Yongtao Guan is currently Presidential Chair Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Previously, he served as Assistant/Associate Professor of Biostatistics at Yale University, and Leslie O. Barnes Professor and Chair of the Department of Management Science at the University of Miami.

Professor Guan received his Ph.D. in Statistics from Texas A&M University in 2003. His research focuses on spatio-temporal data analytics, longitudinal data analysis, and point processes. Many of his research findings have been published in leading Statistics and machine learning journals. He was a recipient of the US National Science Foundation CAREER Award and is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association.
