Fengzheng Gao 高风正

Dr. Fengzheng Gao is an Established Researcher and Team Leader of Microalgae in Human Nutrition and Health R&D at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. He holds two PhDs, in Bioprocess Engineering from Wageningen University, The Netherland, and in Aquatic Product Processing and Storage Engineering from Ocean University of China.

His research has been supported by prestigious foundations, including Eureka Eurostars, Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), ETH Foundation, Horizon Europe, Diamond Light Source, Dutch Research Council, and the European Molecular Biology Organization. He is also the Task Leader in the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein at the National University of Singapore and SNSF Bridge Discovery. Dr. Gao has international research experience in China, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, and the UK. He has delivered over 50 conference talks, including plenary keynotes, and received the EU Young Algaeneers Innovation Award and EABA Youth & Outreach Award. He is the Vice President of the China Algae Industry Association–Microalgae Branch and International Chief Advisor to the Etuoke Spirulina Industry.
