Fatima Montemor

M.F. Montemor obtained her PhD from the Technical University of Lisbon in 1995. She is Associate Professor in the department of Chemical Engineering of Instituto Superior Técnico. She is co-author of more than 150 scientific papers published in international journals, several book chapters, and more than 250 works presented in international and national congresses. Her h-index is 46 (Scopus – 10/2016) being top world cited in “coatings and corrosion protection”. In January 2015, she took the position of President of the European Federation of Corrosion. Her main scientific interests include smart self-healing coatings for corrosion protection, coatings for surface functionalization of metallic and non-metallic materials, and design of new conductive films for more efficient energy storage electrodes.
