• Critical Care

  A population-based cohort study, “New and Persistent Sedative Prescriptions Among Older Adults Following a Critical Illnessopens in new tab/window,” demonstrates that one in 15 sedation-naive older adult ICU survivors filled new sedative prescriptions within a week of discharge, and more than half had refills. • Thoracic Oncology

  A longitudinal study of 4,432 individuals, “Changing Smoking Behavior and Epigeneticsopens in new tab/window” finds that methylation in the aryl hydrocarbon receptor repressor gene recovered to a higher degree in individuals who quit smoking compared with individuals who continued smoking or who never smoked.
