Katie Scranton, PhD is the Technical Lead for ClinicalKey AI at Elsevier Health, driving the application of Generative AI in healthcare products and leads several Responsible AI initiatives across Elsevier. Katie is a Data Science leader who is passionate about improving care and patient outcomes with a data-driven approach, with an emphasis on improving health inequities and disparities. She is a PhD research scientist whose research interests lie in the statistical complexities of analyzing variable, temporal cohort data to understand how individuals adhere to demographic models or pathways such as treatment guidelines.
Katie has been at Elsevier Health since 2018, working across Precision Medicine, Advanced Clinical Decision Support, and Clinical Solutions. Prior to joining Elsevier, Katie completed her PhD at University of California, Berkeley and held postdoctoral research fellowships at Yale University and UCLA. She holds a Bachelor of Science from McGill University.
