Professor Partha Sharathi Mallick, a distinguished academician and researcher, currently serves as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. Throughout his career, Dr. Mallick has held various significant positions, including Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering and Director of "Ranking and Accreditation" at VIT. He was awarded the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship for his doctoral studies. Dr. Mallick led numerous research teams and developed "Virtual Lab in Microelectronics," "Monte Carlo Simulator for conductivity study of compound semiconductors," "Nanostructured MIM capacitor," and "Low-cost electric fencers." He has also received several research grants from the Government of India to support his work. Dr. Mallick's academic endeavors extend beyond national borders too, as he has collaborated with researchers from esteemed institutions worldwide, including the Max-Born Institute in Germany and University of Cinvestav in Mexico. He organized several reputed international conferences and summits, such as the 1st World Summit on Science, Engineering, and Technology at the University of Cambridge, UK in 2018, the 2nd World Summit on Science, Engineering, and Technology at Indiana University – Purdue University, USA in 2019, and the IEEE International Conference on Advances in Electrical Engineering (jointly with KTH, Sweden) at VIT in 2014. Dr. Mallick is actively engaged in the academic community, serving as an assessor for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Government of India. Dr. Mallick's dedication to advancing knowledge, fostering international collaboration and networking underscores his commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
