Talk Title: Unravelling the effects of different processing treatments on peanut allergenic potential
Beatriz Cabanillas is group leader at Research Institute Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid. She obtained her doctor title in biological sciences with an Extraordinary Doctoral Prize.
Dr. Cabanillas is principal investigator in different national and international research projects. She has developed her research during 9 years in Germany (Bonn University, Bonn) and the USA (Department of Agriculture, New Orleans). She has obtained several awards for her oral presentations at international congresses. Dr. Cabanillas is Associate Editor in the journal Food Chemistry (IF: 9.2; Editorial Elsevier) and Editorial Board Member in the journal Allergy (IF: 14.7; Editorial Wiley).
Her research focuses, among others, on the study of the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in food allergy, the effect of processing on the allergenicity of foods, and the characterization of novel food allergens.
