LeapSpace grounds every response in peer-reviewed research from Elsevier and a growing network of leading publishers, giving researchers responses they can trust, cite, and build on.

Content from our prestigious journals in The Lancet Groupopens in new tab/window, Cell Pressopens in new tab/window, and leading societies such as the American College of Cardiology, the Institution of Chemical Engineers, the International Brain Organization, and many more, is indexed into LeapSpace.

Licensing agreements have also been signed with several publishers to add full-text content to the LeapSpace index:

With more publishers and societies joining, together we are expanding the breadth of trusted content available to researchers, ensuring every answer is grounded in the best-fit evidence across disciplines. The inclusion of full-text content from our content partners further expands coverage across scientific domains.

How is cross-publisher content indexed in LeapSpace?

  • LeapSpace indexes selected full-text content from content partners under licensing agreements

  • When partner content contributes to a response, LeapSpace displays a brief snippet from the relevant full-text source to provide context

  • Each referenced source includes a link to the full text on the publisher’s platform where subscribed users can access the original article. LeapSpace’s ranking methodology is designed to be publisher-neutral, so content is surfaced based on relevance to the user’s research task rather than publisher preference.

  • Partner content is used to support retrieval, grounding, citation, and verification within LeapSpace; it is not used to train large language models

  • Elsevier is also developing attribution and usage reporting capabilities to help partners understand how their content contributes to AI-assisted discovery
