Nina Kovalchuk

Dr Nina Kovalchuk received her degree in physics from Kyiv National University, Ukraine and her PhD in material science from Kyiv University of Construction and Architecture, Ukraine. She worked as a Research Fellow at Institute for Problems of Material Science and as a Senior Research Fellow at Institute of Biocolloid Chemistry (The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine). She worked in postdoctoral positions at Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Germany and at Loughborough University, UK. Since 2015 Nina is a Research Fellow at University of Birmingham, UK. Her research interests are multiphase flows, surfactants, microfluidics, wetting and spreading.
