Meredith Glaser

With nearly 20 years of teaching experience and a multi-disciplinary background in public health, urban planning and environmental design, Prof Dr Meredith Glaser brings a holistic understanding to social inquiry and system change. Her published research and expertise regarding cycling policy and city-to-city learning has advanced Dr. Glaser as one of the most sought-after educators for professional development about urban cycling systems and governance. Meredith is currently CEO of the Urban Cycling Institute, an Amsterdam-based NGO dedicated to research, higher education, and capacity building for cities, universities, governments and industry. She is also appointed Professor of Cycling at Ghent University and Senior Lecturer at University of Amsterdam. She directs the summer program Planning the Cycling City and co-developed on-line courses with over 25k enrollments. She serves on numerous boards and advisory committees including the Cycling Research Board and the Social Science Global Health Center (UvA).
