Emile Haye

Emile Haye received his doble engineering degree from EEIGM (France) and LTU (Sweden) and completed his PhD in materials science at the Institut Jean Lamour in 2016. He then carried out two postdoctoral positions at the University of Namur, focusing on functional coatings for PEM fuel cell bipolar plates and hard coatings for cutting tools based on HiPIMS technology. After holding a dual role between academia and industry, working part-time at the University of Namur and at ICS – Innovative Coating Solutions, a spin-off of UNamur, he took the CEO position since summer 2025. Since April 2022, he also serves as Managing Editor of Applied Surface Science. His expertise covers functional thin films, surface analysis (notably XPS), and advanced surface engineering.
