Dr. Chuanyi Wang is an adjunct professor at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand and a distinguished professor at Shaanxi University of Science and Technology (SUST) in China. He acts as an Officer of Earth and Environmental Sciences Division of European Academy of Sciences, and regional council member of International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM). Currently, he also works as an associate editor for well-respected journals such as Applied Catalysis B: Environment and Energy (IF 21.1), and Environmental Chemistry Letters (IF 20.4). Additionally, he serves as an editorial board member for number of international journals including Chemical Engineering Journal, Molecular Catalysis, Scientific Reports etc. His research interest mainly focuses on photo-/electro-catalysis at nanostructured materials, including material design, synthesis, functionality evaluation and in situ surface probe studies, aiming applications in photo-/electrochemical energy conversion and environmental remediation. By far, he has published over 450 papers in peer reviewed journals with over 28000 citations and an h-index of 94 (Google Scholar). His outstanding academic achievements have been recognized by numerous prestigious awards and honours, such as elected Member of European Academy of Sciences and Arts, Fellow of European Academy of Sciences, Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher, Advanced Materials Laureate (only 2 recipients awarded by IAAM in 2024), Highly Ranked Scholar-Prior 5 Years (Top 0.05% worldwide by ScholarGPS, #1288 Overall, #21 Environmental, and #45 Catalysis), and IAAM Researcher of the Year (one of the highest awards for significant contribution to the area of Materials, Engineering, and Technology), etc.
