Please briefly describe who you are and your role?

I am Dr Ethar Al-Husseinawi, I currently serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center-Olathe Hospital Campus. I have been practicing in the field of pathology for almost five years servicing Kansas and Missouri states and providing expert pathology services for multiple hospitals.

What problems were you attempting to solve when you started using ImmunoQuery?

I first used ImmunoQuery when I was surgical pathology fellow. I used it to differentiate morphologically similar tumors, confirming the origin of tumor in case of metastasis, and to identify limited immunohistochemical panel leading to saving time and resources.

What are the benefits have you experienced since using ImmunoQuery?

It is a fast and readily available tool to get immediate reliable answers based on literature review and thousands of articles. It improves diagnostic accuracy, better explanations in an academic institution setting and provides a fund of knowledge that residency programs and practicing community pathologists can utilize seamlessly.

How do you use ImmunoQuery in your day-to-day workflow?

I use it in ambiguous and difficult cases to be my fast resource instead of opening my traditional books. I keep ImmunoQuery in an open tab on my computer all day to immediately search for stains or diagnoses panel. I rarely consult my book library these days considering everything is present in my computer by a single click.

What would you tell a colleague who was considering using ImmunoQuery?

ImmunoQuery is an efficient, reliable, and fast tool that can improve your diagnostic accuracy by providing full report of all possible diagnosis and their immunoprofile. It helps you resolve challenges faster. It can tailor your staining panel with precision leading to better utilization of resources. In addition, it will improve teaching experience for trainees and provides limitless resources. It is the GPS of pathologists these days!
