"During pandemics, I was a member of a task force analyzing data around COVID-19.
"That was quite difficult to us data scientists since the data was often scarce and of varying quality, and we were expected to provide something useful that may help policy long term.
"That was challenging because we were aware that data is not perfect, it has its issues. Yet we did want to be as useful as possible in that critical time."
