He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota and teaches courses on heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and numerical simulation. Abraham is a prolific thermal science researcher and consultant, with experience ranging from turbulent fluid flow and biomedical device design to energy production/distribution and oceanography. He has produced roughly 500 publications, books, book chapters, conference presentations and patents, and he has also written hundreds of popular press articles and made about 200 radio and television appearances.
