Recognition highlights innovative AI tool built on the world’s largest platform of peer-reviewed trusted research
Elsevier, a global leader in advanced information and decision support, today announced that ScienceDirect AI has been named Best Generative AI Solution at the 2025 CODiE Awards, the technology industry’s long-running awards program. Winners were revealed on 22 October following finalist selection.
ScienceDirect AI is an innovative workflow tool that enables academic and corporate researchers to instantly surface, cite, compare and explore trusted evidence from deep within the peer-reviewed literature. It generates instant accurate research summaries and highlights key findings, while providing references to support reproducibility and the integrity of research. In testing with users worldwide, ScienceDirect AI was shown to cut time spent on literature research by approximately 50%.
Judy Verses, President A&G Elsevier, said: “This CODiE Award recognizes how we’re accelerating innovation at Elsevier and partnering with the research community to put trust at the heart of generative AI for research. Researchers face an ever-growing volume of information and need to get accurate insights. ScienceDirect AI addresses these challenges, improves productivity and supports better research outcomes.”
This year’s CODiE program recognized excellence across 76 categories and is widely regarded as a premier peer-reviewed recognition of innovation in business and education technology.
