Critical care courses available

  • AACN: Acute and critical-care pharmacology

Exclusively from Elsevier, this content was co-developed with AACN to help healthcare organizations meet the challenge of ensuring optimal outcomes through competent, quality care to critically ill patients. Based on the latest evidence, this course uses highly interactive case studies to help nurses deepen their understanding of how drugs work, why drugs cause adverse effects and the implications for delivering care.

  • AACN: Adult CCRN, CCRN-E, CCRN-K Certification Review 2020

These seven modules explore the valuable knowledge covered in the CCRN/CCRN-E/CCRN-K Adult test plan and how to apply this knowledge to clinical practice. The program covers: cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurologic, endocrine, renal, gastrointestinal, hematology/immunology, multisystem, behavioral considerations and the AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care.

  • AACN: Essentials of critical-care orientation (ECCO) 4.0

Optimize the integration of new nurses into critical care practice with Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) 4.0. ECCO 4.0 is an interactive, case-based course designed to orient nurses on critical care basics, offering two learner paths: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) tracks. This course is designed as a comprehensive learning experience for any nurse working with acutely or critically ill patients.

  • AACN: The Preceptor Challenge 1.5

The Preceptor Challenge was created to provide the opportunity for practical application of theory-based preceptorship practice in a lifelike virtual hospital setting. The highly interactive course is available to nurses working in all patient care areas, and teaches how to apply best practices, and how to identify the rationale that makes these practices "best."

  • ASPAN: Mosby’s orientation to perianesthesia nursing 1 2

Developed in collaboration with the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN), this authoritative, evidence-based online course teaches the foundational knowledge required to deliver safe, effective perianesthesia care. The course gives nurses the knowledge and confidence to care for patients throughout the perianesthesia continuum.

  • AACN and The Institute for Extracorporeal Life Support Present — The ECMO Course  This course provides in depth knowledge and understanding of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) for clinicians who care for critically ill patients with severe heart and lung failure due to a variety of conditions, including trauma, infection, cardiac arrest, acute respiratory distress syndrome, or cardiogenic shock.
