Advancements in Artificial Intelligence and Research Strategy
Research Strategy Seminar 2025

In recent years, rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have driven significant transformation and innovation across various disciplines and steps of the research lifecycle. The White Paper on Science, Technology, and Innovation 2024, titled “How AI will transform Science, Technology and Innovation” also highlights that “expectations are rapidly growing for AI technology to accelerate resolution of scientific problems and improve research productivity.” *
This seminar will feature speakers from diverse disciplines discussing the expectations, implications, and challenges associated with the use of AI in research. Specifically, we will examine how the application of generative AI can enhance the research environment, improve efficiency and outcomes, and strengthen institutional research strategies and excellence. Additionally, potential concerns and risks related to the use of generative AI will be addressed.
We hope that this event will bring together participants from a variety of backgrounds, including university leaders, research strategy and support professionals, researchers, and librarians, to facilitate the exchange of insights and foster discussions on advancements in AI and research strategy.
