Dr. Yuxiao Lai is a distinguished professor and executive director of Centre for Translational Medicine Research and Development (TMC), Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on advanced biomaterials for orthopedics, including magnesium-based implants, 3D printing, and bone organoids, addressing complex bone defects. As a principal investigator, she has led more than 40 research projects, including NSFC Distinguished Young Scholars Fund, the National Key R&D Program of China. Dr. Lai has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and holds 19 issued patents, driving advancements in biomaterial engineering and orthopedic applications.
