Seungkwan Hong

Seungkwan (SK) Hong is a professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering at Korea University and a president of Korean Water Partnership (KWP)

He is a leading expert in advanced water purification and desalination processes, specializing in membrane-based technology. Recently, he has expanded his research to include advanced electrochemical water treatment processes, carbon neutrality through CO₂ capture and resource recovery from industrial wastewater, and ultrapure water production for the semiconductor industry. He has (co)authored more than 245 academic papers published in internationally renowned journals (h-index: 72(Google) and 64 (Scopus) with more than 21,316 and 16,175 citations).
