Jinwoo Cheon

Jinwoo Cheon is the Founding Director of the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) Center for Nanomedicine and the H.G. Underwood Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Yonsei University. Esteemed for his expertise in inorganic chemistry, he is a leading authority in nanomaterials design and the use of nanoscale probes for imaging and activation of biological systems.

He has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Humboldt Research Award, Ho-Am Prize, and Sheth International Alumni Award. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS).
