Anders Karlsson

Dr Anders Karlsson joined Elsevier in 2012 as Vice-President of Global Strategic Networks to support the company’s relationships with key stakeholders in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining Elsevier, he was a science counsellor at the Swedish Embassy in Japan for five years. He is the Japan Chapter chair of the Japan Chapter for Scientific, Technical and Medical Publisher and a member of the INGSA Asia Steering Committee. He has been a visiting scientist at NTT Basic Research Laboratories, Stanford University, Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, Zhejiang University, and a senior adviser at Osaka University. He has a PhD in electrical engineering and an MSc in engineering physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and served as a professor of quantum photonics at KTH.
