Chen Qiao乔辰

Professor Qiao Chen engages in teaching and research on plant physiology and biochemistry at Inner Mongolia Agricultural University. She initiated research on spirulina in alkaline lakes of the Ordos Plateau in 1996 and is one of the discoverers of spirulina resources in the alkaline lakes of the Ordos Plateau.

In the field of spirulina research, she has presided over 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, 5 research projects at the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and municipal levels, and participated in 6 autonomous region-level projects of Inner Mongolia. She has published more than 70 academic papers.

In 2010, she took charge of establishing the Spirulina Engineering Technology Research Center in Ordos City. In May 2011, the center was officially accredited and awarded a plaque as the Inner Mongolia Spirulina Engineering Technology Research Center by the Department of Science and Technology of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
