Andrew Whittaker

Andrew Whittaker is ARC Australian Professorial Fellow and professor of polymer physical chemistry within the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology at The University of Queensland. He leads research programs in materials for microelectronics and for health. Whittaker has held numerous leadership roles within UQ and was President of the Pacific Polymer Federation and the RACI National Polymer Division. He has published over 500 refereed journal articles and 8 patents, licensing his technology to multinational corporations. He is proud to have graduated over 70 PhD students (50% female), many of whom are now in leadership positions on four continents.
