Simanta Buck

Simanta Buck (she/her/hers) is a Publishing Director for Elsevier's life science journals portfolio, with 19 years of scientific publishing experience. She leads a global team of publishers and scientific editors who work within a variety of spaces including molecular biology, toxicology, and pharmaceutical sciences.

In addition, Simanta has a passion for driving inclusion in the world of research and takes a leading role in this within the Elsevier journals division.

In that role, she collaborates with colleagues to advance several projects, including ensuring our author, editor, and reviewer communities are inclusive and represent the wider world.

Her family runs a nonprofit organization that supports access to children’s books, helping to encourage healthy conversations and learning. Simanta lives in the Boston, Massachusetts, area with her husband and two young children.
