Teresa Cecchi holds a PhD in Chemistry. She is the Leader of the IOCD Working Group on Green and Sustainable Electronics. She is a freelance researcher - among the top2% scientists in 2022 and 2023 - and a teacher - among the Italian top 50 in 2017. She pioneered the first course of Green Chemistry in a technical school in Italy and her educational projects were awarded at the international level. Her research currently involves (i) a green paradigm shift in e-waste recycling and smart upcycling of e-waste micro/nano elements; (ii) industrial symbiosis and interlocking industrial workflows as innovative alternatives to circular autarchy; (iii) robotics to improve the safety of e-waste handling and recycling (iv) environmental monitoring.
