Seungkwan Hong

Seungkwan (SK) Hong is a professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering at Korea University and a president of Korean Water Partnership (KWP)

He is a leading expert in advanced water purification and desalination processes, specializing in membrane-based technology. Recently, he has expanded his research to include advanced electrochemical water treatment processes, carbon neutrality through CO2 capture and resource recovery from industrial wastewater, and ultrapure water production for the semiconductor industry. He has (co)authored more than 245 academic papers published in internationally renowned journals (h-index: 72(Google) and 64 (Scopus) with more than 21,316 and 16,175 citations).
