Mina Okochi

Mina Okochi

Mina Okochi received the Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan in 1998. After DC2 and PD Research Fellow, Japan Society for Promotion of Science, she became Assistant Professor in Department of Biotechnology, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology; Lecture and then Associate Professor in Department of Biotechnology, Nagoya University, Japan. In 2014, she became Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, which is now the Institute of Science Tokyo. Okochi’s group focuses on bionanotechnology, including the design and biofunctionalization of functional peptides and their applications in biosensing, medicine, and bioengineering. In addition, the group is focusing on cell-cell interactions mediated by extracellular vesicles such as migrasomes.
