Michal Gulka

CAS-Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Czechia

Dr. Michal Gulka holds a double doctorate in Biomedical Sciences and Quantum Physics from the Czech Technical University and the University of Hasselt (2017), with a focus on nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond for quantum sensing. He has helped pioneer electrical readout of NV spins, including the first room-temperature electrical detection of a single nuclear qubit. As a Marie Curie fellow, he joined Petr Cigler Synthetic Nanochemistry group at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. Currently, he focuses on developing highly sensitive and selective ND-based probes by combining NV photophysics with diamond surface chemistry.
