Conference speaker
Prof. Hermenegildo (Herme) Garcia current research at the Institute of Chemical Technology focuses on photocatalysis for solar fuels production. He has published more than 800 peer-reviewed papers, twenty book chapters, and co-inventor of over 50 patents, four of them under current exploitation. The high impact of his work has been recognized by invitations to speak at several international conferences on catalysis.
According to the Essential Science Indicators 2020, Hermenegildo is the list of the most cited researchers in the area of Chemistry and appears in the Shanghai- Thomson Reuters list among as the World’s Most Influential Scientists 2019 (from all scientific domains).
Prof. Garcia’s articles have contributed to define three current research fronts, as defined by Essential Science indicators opens in new tab/window, in photocatalysis for fuels production, metal-organic frameworks as photocatalysts, graphene as metal-free catalysts, as well as some others in the past.
