Chengtie Wu

Prof. Chengtie Wu is currently group leader of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Director of Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Fellow of Biomaterials Science and Engineering (FBSE) and Fellow of the Chinese Society for Biomaterials (FCSBM) as well as the Outstanding Young Scholar of NSFC. Prof. Wu’s research focuses on development of novel bioactive materials for tissue/organ repair/regeneration and treatment of major diseases. He is currently serving as the Co-Editors-in-Chief of the academic journals "Biomedical Engineering Frontier (Q1)", Associate Editor of "Journal of Inorganic Materials", and the member of editorial board of "Acta Biomaterialia" and "Bioactive Materials". Up to now, Prof. Wu has published more than 340 peer-review journal papers (H-index: 103), including Advanced Materials, Science Advances, Materials Today, Matter, National Science Review, Biomaterials, etc. He has been continuously selected as “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” by Elsevier for 10 years. Prof. Wu has issued 96 patents, of which 55 patents were authorized and 26 patents were transferred. Prof. Wu was awarded the First Prize of Shanghai Natural Science Award (2024), Journal of Materials Chemistry Lectureship (2015), IUMRS Young Scientists Award (2022), Young Scientists of Chinese Biomaterials Society (2016), Outstanding Young Scientists of Chinese Ceramics Society (2018), and the First Prize of Science and Technology of Chinese Society of Biomaterials (2019).
