Andrea Achilli

Andrea Achilli is an Associate Professor in the Chemical and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Arizona (UA) and deputy director of the UA Water and Energy Sustainable Technology (WEST) Center. He is the Principal Investigator of the Water Resiliency and Self-Sufficiency in the Arid Southwest Research Program, funded by the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). He has 20 years of research experience in membrane processes for water reuse and desalination, including membrane bioreactors, pressurized membrane processes, membrane distillation, and energy recovery. His research focuses on process integration, modeling, and optimization for advanced water and wastewater treatment and reuse.
