Dr. Yebo Li serves as the Chief Innovation and Science Officer at Quasar Energy Group, where he focuses on the scale-up and commercialization of advanced bioenergy technologies. Since his tenure as a professor at The Ohio State University, he has played a key role in supporting Quasar Energy Group’s deployment of large-scale anaerobic digestion systems across the United States. He has led more than 40 research projects with a combined funding portfolio of approximately $30 million from the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and various industry partners. Dr. Li has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications, which have received more than 20,000 citations, and he holds five U.S. and international patents. He is also the co-editor of the textbook Bioenergy: Principles and Applications. His contributions to the field have been recognized with numerous honors, including the 2012 Rain Bird Engineering Concept of the Year Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers.
