Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany

Prof. Yuemin Wang is head of the research group ‘‘Surface Catalysis’’ at the Institute of Functional Interfaces (IFG) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He studied Chemistry at the Nankai University and received his PhD in Physical Chemistry at the Fritz-Haber Institute (FHI) of the Max-Planck Society in 2002. He joined the Ruhr-University of Bochum as head of the research group “Spectroscopy at Surfaces”. He served as Visiting Professor at the University of Technology Dalian (2008–2010) and Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2018–2019). His research focuses on fundamental processes in surface and interfacial chemistry, photochemistry, and catalysis, particularly vibrational spectroscopic studies of metal/oxides and metal–organic frameworks (MOFs).
