Dr. Yoshiaki Nakao was educated in chemistry at Kyoto University (Ph.D. with Profs. Tamejiro Hiyama and Eiji Shirakawa in 2005), Yale University (with Prof. John F. Hartwig), and the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung (with Prof. Manfred T. Reetz). Since 2002, he has been a faculty member at Kyoto University and currently holds the full professor position. His research interests are centered around the development of new reactions, reagents, and catalysts to streamline organic synthesis.
