Thibaut Devillers

CNRS-Université Grenoble Alpes, France

Thibaut Devillers is associate professor at University Grenoble Alpes and is affiliated to Institut Néel (CNRS-Grenoble). He received his Ph.D. in 2008 from Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble) working at CEA-Grenoble on semiconductor spintronics and magnetic semiconductors. He subsequently held a postdoctoral position in Johannes Kepler University (Linz, Austria) where he expanded his expertise to nitride semiconductors.

Since 2014, he is part of Institut Néel where his main research focuses on the development and characterization of advanced magnetic materials, with particular emphasis on rare-earth permanent magnets, thin films, and functional magnetic materials for energy-related and biomedical applications. Based on his expertise on magnetophoresis in microfluidics, he has recently been developing techniques to produce high temperature superconductors based on graphite.
