Dr. Rob Dunn is a biologist, author, and William Neal Reynolds Distinguished Professor in the Department of Applied Ecology at North Carolina State University. He leads the Public Science Lab, focusing on the often-overlooked biodiversity of our everyday lives—from global sourdough microbiomes to backyard insects. An advocate for engaging the public in science, Dunn has authored numerous articles and eight books, including Never Home Alone, Delicious, and A Natural History of the Future. His collaborative research bridges global ecology, evolutionary history, theology and human culture to foster public scientific discovery.
