Prof. Ts. Dr. Aida Mustapha is a Professor of Artificial Intelligence and former Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). She is an AI scholar, Microsoft-certified trainer, and institutional strategist with more than 500 refereed publications in Artificial Intelligence, Soft Computing, Data Mining, Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, and Intelligent Agent Systems. During her tenure at UMPSA, she led the university’s research, innovation, commercialization, industry engagement, and research excellence agenda, with strong emphasis on responsible AI adoption, research intelligence, talent development, and university-industry impact. As lead trainer for Akademi Intelek dan Data Analitik (AI.DA), she has advanced Microsoft professional certification programs for students, academics, and industry partners. Her current work champions the RDICE framework, connecting Research, Development, Innovation, Commercialization, and Economy, while positioning AI as institutional infrastructure for national competitiveness, workforce transformation, and future-ready education.
