Professor Agus Haryono is the Deputy Chairman for Research and Innovation Facilitation of BRIN – the National Research & Innovation Agency, Indonesia. Under his deputyship, he manages the Indonesian Scientific Authority as well as managing all the funding schemes for Indonesian researchers. He has the responsibility of sourcing new bilateral matching funds for joint research collaboration, in order to strengthen the global research network between Indonesian researchers and their foreign partners.
Professor Haryono graduated from Waseda University, Japan with a Doctoral Degree in Applied Chemistry in 1999. He continued his research activiites as a post-doctoral researcher at Advanced Science and Technology (AIST) Tsukuba, Japan (1999-2002) and Vienna Institute of Technology, Austria (2005-2006). Professor Haryono has already published more than 100 journals, patents and publications focused on the field of polymer chemistry.
