Junxia Song

Dr. Junxia Song, with a doctorate in veterinary medicine from China Agricultural University, currently serves as a Senior Animal Health Officer at FAO HQ. She leads the “One Health Coordination and AMR Cluster,” overseeing FAO’s action plan on AMR implementation and coordinating One Health activities within the framework of One Health Joint Plan of Action (OH JPA) both internally and with external partners. Dr. Song also serves as the FAO lead technical officer in the joint secretariat of the Quadripartite (FAO, UNEP, WHO, OIE).
Before joining FAO, Dr. Song accumulated over 20 years of experience at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) in China, specializing in managing zoonotic diseases, transboundary animal diseases, and AMR.
