Jimmy Ho Man Lee

Jimmy Lee received both his BMath (Hons) and MMath degrees at the University of Waterloo, and completed his doctoral studies at the University of Victoria, Canada. Upon graduation, he joined The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where he is now Acting Registrar of the University, Director of the University Planning Office, Associate Head of the New Asia College, and Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He was also Associate Dean (Education) of the Faculty of Engineering during 2019-21. Besides being a researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Constraint Optimization, Jimmy has also interests in learning science and technology, focusing on the design of learning platforms and pedagogies for enhancing students' learning experience. Jimmy has been featured as Top Instructor on Coursera, and is a two-time recipient (2004 and 2015) of the Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award and the winner of the 2017 University Education Award, the highest honour in education at CUHK.
