Dr. Tham Chau Ling earned her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biochemistry in 2005 and completed her PhD in Molecular Medicine in 2012, both from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She began her academic career at UPM as a tutor in 2010, was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in 2012, and promoted to Associate Professor in 2019. She currently serves as the Head of the Cell Biology Unit under the Department of Biomedical Science and is the Research Coordinator at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPM. In addition to her roles at UPM, she is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UCSI University. She also serves as the Technical Consultant for Phytocare Discoveries Sdn Bhd, where she collaborates closely with industry partners to develop cosmeceutical and nutraceutical products backed by scientific evidence. Dr. Tham’s research is focused on experimental therapeutics for allergic inflammatory diseases. With a Scopus H-index of 21, she has authored over 90 scientific publications, primarily in Q1 and Q2 journals. She has led 18 research projects and contributed to a total of 41 projects funded by government agencies, industry, and international bodies, with a cumulative funding of RM5.3 million. Her work has earned recognition for excellence in research, teaching, and industry collaboration. Beyond scholarly publications, Dr. Tham has filed four patents and four copyrights. Her intellectual properties have been successfully adopted by industry partners and are now available in both local and international markets. She remains actively engaged in translating her research into commercially viable products that deliver real-world impact, particularly in the healthcare and wellness sectors
