Ali Ellebedy is a viral immunologist whose research centers on B cell responses to viral infections and vaccination. He holds the title Leo Loeb Endowed Professor in Pathology & Immunology. He is the Co-Director of the Center for Vaccines and Immunity to Microbial Pathogens at Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, MO, USA. His research interests include: 1) How persistent germinal center reactions are induced and persist after vaccination. 2) The mechanisms underlying the induction of broadly neutralizing antibody responses to rapidly evolving viruses (e.g., influenza, coronaviruses).
